(AMAUC) - QUESTÃO

Sejam as funções definidas por g(x) = 3x + 1 e f(x) = 2x + b. sendo b um número real. Se f[g(2)] = 4, então g[f(2)] é igual a:
Ⓐ 49
Ⓑ 23
Ⓒ – 4
Ⓓ –17
Ⓔ 37

Resolvendo temos:

Temos duas funções:

  • g(x)=3x+1g(x) = 3x + 1

  • f(x)=2x+bf(x) = 2x + b

Sabemos que:

f(g(2))=4f(g(2)) = 4

Vamos resolver isso passo a passo para encontrar o valor de bb, e depois calcular g(f(2))g(f(2)).

1. Calcular g(2)g(2)

g(2)=3⋅2+1=6+1=7g(2) = 3 \cdot 2 + 1 = 6 + 1 = 7

2. Substituir em f(g(2))=f(7)f(g(2)) = f(7) e igualar a 4

f(7)=2⋅7+b=14+bf(7) = 2 \cdot 7 + b = 14 + b
f(g(2))=14+b=4⇒b=4−14=−10f(g(2)) = 14 + b = 4 \Rightarrow b = 4 - 14 = -10

3. Agora, com b=−10b = -10, temos f(x)=2x−10f(x) = 2x - 10

Vamos calcular g(f(2))g(f(2)):

4. Calcular f(2)f(2)

f(2)=2⋅2−10=4−10=−6f(2) = 2 \cdot 2 - 10 = 4 - 10 = -6

5. Agora calcular g(f(2))=g(−6)

g(−6)=3⋅(−6)+1=−18+1=−17
